At Happy Tots Nursery, we believe that every day is a learning day and that learning is all around us. As well as being a place of learning, we pride ourselves on ensuring that children are coming into a loving, caring environment where they are valued and listened to. We also involve children and parents in trying to continually improve. We have a clear vision of what we want to achieve at Happy Tots Nursery:
Looking for a place where your child can learn and grow at their own pace? Do you seek an environment where your little one is safe to explore and discover the world we live in? LOOK NO FURTHER!
All 3 and 4-year-olds in England currently receive 15 hours a week government funded early education. If their parents are living and working in England, 3 and 4-year-olds may be entitled to 30 hours funded childcare, which is up to 1,140 hours per year in total! If eligible you will be entitled to access the 30 funded hours from the beginning of the term following your child’s 3rd birthday. We stretch the funding across 50 weeks as opposed to the term time 38 week period. For more information about how this scheme works, please come and see us.
An increase in the number of hours children attend can help prepare them for the transition to ‘big school’. Three and four year olds are especially keen to develop their social skills and a preschool environment can support this development especially well. A child who is "ready for school" has a zest for learning that is demonstrated by showing curiosity, learning by trial and error, seeks challenges, shows pride and satisfaction in meeting own goals.
